With natural food in such abundance at the moment fishing a team of two nymphs is your best approach.  Such a tactic was used successfully by Danny Curwen who managed to land a fully finned 8lb 9oz resident rainbow from the boat while straight line nymph fishing with Rio midge tip fly line, this fish was among six others he caught using the same tactic.

The yellow tagged fish was spotted on two separate occasions this week but on neither occasion could it be tempted to take the fly!  The fish is currently worth in excess of £1500!!  Remember to put your £1 in the pot to take part!
