Week ending 17th September 2017

Notes

The cooler day and night time temps have been working wonders on the fishing with the lake now down to a far more healthy and comfortable 15 degrees. We are hopeful that they will continue to drop with the coming week’s forecast looking much cooler.

The fish have really switched back on and the week’s stock has also helped to liven things up. Best bag for the week came to A Tyson from one of the boats with 10 fish in just a couple of hours to both dry and sunk daddy.

The fish have been really high up in the water and have been very active on and just below the surface. Large hatches of daddys, caddis and buzzers have given the fish plenty to eat and they have definitely been making the most of it.

The boats have done well again this week with someone being out almost every day, please call to book a boat in advance if you want to avoid disappointment. Best patterns have been dry and sunk daddy, popper hoppers in black, damsels unweighted, hot head buzzers, sugar lump Shipman’s, and CDC shuttlecock buzzers.

Hobby Lake has lots of bookings coming up so please call the shop for availability if you are looking at having a day’s exclusive fishing.
