Week ending 4th March 2018

Notes

This week has been freezing cold with half the lake freezing  over towards the end of the week, then with the addition of snow it has made fishing challenging and only the hardiest anglers came out and fished.  We kept the aerators on 24 hours a day in order to prevent the lake freezing over completely! Bright lures with plenty of movement fish slowly on intermediate lines have been the order of the week, and with some fully finned blue trout being caught it was worth braving the cold weather!  Congratulations to David Gibson for catching a cracking 8lb 6oz blue trout on a Whisky fly.
