Fishing Report Monday 6th May 2022

Well sadly the mayfly madness has now been and gone, but the damsel hatch is now starting to kick off. There’s still been plenty of surface activity with clouds of buzzers still coming off.

Nymphs have still been the go-to method with floating lines and sink tips, long leaders and super slow retrieves. Crunchers, Diawl Bachs, PTNs, Blue Flash Damsels and Cormorants have taken the majority of fish, with a few falling to shuttlecock buzzers and Shipman’s off the top.

Water temperatures are creeping up, but so far it hasn’t had an adverse effect on the fishing. Evening tickets have been popular and have heralded some great fishing especially at the end of hot and bright days.
