Fishery Summer Closure

Unfortunately, due to increasing water temperatures and to preserve fish welfare, from today (28/6/23) the fishery will close until such a time that we can reopen. Our expert team will still be available Tuesday – Saturday for fly casting lessons and the Sportfish shop will remain open. Opening times.

Wild Flower Meadow in Full Bloom

A few months ago we sowed seeds to create a wild flower meadow at the fishery to attract bees and insects. We are very pleased to see them now in full bloom!

Spartic Trout released into Haywards Farm Lake

50 spartic trout have been released into Haywards Farm Lake. Included within the 50, 10 of the trout were each given an orange tag. Catch one and either snip it off (if on C&R) or bring the fish to us and claim a free day’s catch and release ticket on the lake! Tight lines!

Fishery Improvements

We have recently installed a number of platforms on both Haywards Farm and Hobby Lake as we continue to improve the fishery for all anglers. Currently we have one new platform on Haywards located on ‘Duffers Point’ and two further platforms located on Hobby Lake, with plans for more platforms to be installed.
