Week ending 12th February

Notes

It was bitterly cold here last week but the fish remained very active, often being caught in the shallower water.  The rod average was over 4 fish per angler and with the average weight just over 3lb there is some great fishing to be had.

There are plenty of double figure fish being caught here every week, with two notable captures taking place on Saturday.   The first was for Mr Bob Todd, capturing his largest ever rainbow, a fin perfect 12lb 4oz specimen on a hothead damsel while fishery regular Mr Reed caught a stunning brown trout just over 10lb which was returned to fight another day.

The boat remains popular with Mr S and Mr J Martin catching 3 browns up to 6lb, if you would like to hire the boat please pre-book to avoid disappointment!
