Notes

We have had an exciting week here at the Sportfish Game Fishing Centre!

On Thursday we stocked Haywards Farm Lake with 12 wonderful double figure rainbows in preparation for our annual Fur and Feather competition, as part of the stocking we also released many fish in the 6-9lb bracket.

The event itself was an extremely wet day but everyone enjoyed themselves and some cracking fish were caught on a wide variety of methods.

After tallying up the points we were delighted to award the prizes as follows:
Biggest fish went to Steve Atkins with a whopping great 11lb rainbow trout.
The 3rd place prize went to Karen Woolley with a total bag weighing in at 17lb 12oz, the 2nd place prize went to Charles Tonkinson with his 19lb 8oz bag which included our famous green tag fish worth a very cool £250 in cash! But the 1st place prize and champion on the day went to Ron Howard with a huge bag weight of 23lb 4oz.

Not bad for an extremely wet, cold and Arctic-like day! Good effort all round!

With 11 more double figure rainbows still to be caught why not pay us a visit during the Christmas period!
