Week ending 16th February 2020

Notes

A wet and windy start and finish to the week with storm Ciara and then storm Dennis saw a busy middle part of the week with anglers trying to stay dry and not get blown away. Some great bags were taken, especially noted was for long time customer but first time angler here on Haywards Lake, Duncan, who managed to show that 13 isn’t that unlucky landing some fantastic fish that really pulled his arm off. He remarked that he couldn’t believe that he hadn’t fished here before but it certainly wont be the last time!

Buzzers have been very productive despite the conditions, lures have worked but fish have certainly homed in on the naturals. The waters remains high and could rise again after the fallout from the latest heavy rain, so make sure you bring your wellies!
