Notes

Spring continued to feel like it was just around the corner again last week with plenty of surface activity all over the lake. Buzzers were popping and trout happy to take advantage.

Naturals were the way to go for sure with the vast majority of the catch falling to buzzers, diawl bachs, crunchers and damsels. Floating lines and sink tips worked best but some persisted with intermediate lines fished high in the water and landed their share.

The lake has now settled with its level and is in amazing condition – gin clear and looking great for the coming weeks. The days are getting longer now and soon the new electric gates will really come into their own for anglers wanting to stay on after the shop has closed.
