What a difference a week makes! Despite some ruthlessly cold north east winds, plenty of anglers ventured out and were well rewarded. Fish all over the lake certainly switched on with the fresh delivery livening up catches for visitors.

Lots of anglers landed several fish each visit with notable bags falling to Martin Thumbwood and his fishing partner in crime, Jane. Martin landed 8 up to 5lb and lost as many again while Jane went for quality not quantity and netted the best fish of the week at close to 8lbs.

Nymphs continue to do well with damsels and buzzers taking their share but mini lures got in on the actions for others. Keeping on the move until you find pods is the best line of attack so don’t get cemented in one place.
