Fishing Report 28th March 2022

Notes

What a week of weather: bright sun, calm days and March highs touching 19 degrees! This would spell doom for most anglers but many were keen to get out and feel the warmth of the sun on their faces.
Despite the bright conditions, fish were feeding well and plenty were landed. Buzzers are hatching in large numbers and the trout are snaffling the pupae and the adults, with lots of rising fish all over the lake.
Another high single-figured fish for regular, Colin Jordan, wasn’t quite big enough to add to his tally of doubles he’s had in recent weeks, but a cracker nonetheless. Bags of up to 8 fish were taken, particularly for anglers fishing lures and hot head damsels on floating or sink tip lines. The water is in fantastic condition and fish activity is increasing every day.
The fishery will continue to close at 5.30pm, but this will hopefully change by early May.
