Notes

Well the winter weather certainly arrived with vengeance again and we had some enormous amounts of wind and rain at times. It’s not harming the water levels which are creeping up slowly, great news looking ahead to next season and getting back to full capacity, not so good for the fishing.

The unsettled weather can play havoc with feeding patterns and those that ventured out had mixed fortunes. Best bag for the week was 5 in a relatively short session using long leaders and mini lures with gold heads. Nymphs took the majority of the fish again with floaters and sink tips working best. In the calm times plenty fish came to the surface to feed but these windows were few and far between. We have just a few spaces left for our friendly Christmas “Fur & Feather” match on the 3rd of December so if you want to take part please contact the store on 0118 9303 860 to book in your place. Cost is £55 and will include tea/coffee, bacon rolls, mince pies and a 2 fish ticket along with your chance to win hundreds of pounds worth of prizes on the day.
