A great week at the fishery with plenty anglers venturing out and being well rewarded. The lake is bordering on full capacity again after last year’s long and dry summer which is wonderful to see again.

Fish have been very active and often quite close to shore. Buzzers have been hatching off on the milder days and the trout are making the most of it. Static buzzers under a bung or long lined have done well along with mini lures and snakes on intermediate lines.

Some big bags have been taken with several anglers hitting double digits in numbers with fish just shy of 10lbs being landed and safely returned.

It’s been a superb start to 2023 and we hope it will continue!
