Another great week of fishing with most anglers having a lot of success. Best bags have come to naturals but lures have still had some success, fish are feeding hard on buzzers and nymphs and even been seen taking dries off the top. Floating lines have still been the order of the day with more … Continue reading Week ending 4th February 2018 »

The fishery continues to shine despite some up and down weather. Nymphs have been doing the most damage with bags of up to 22 fish being taken on buzzer and damsels. Floating lines have been best with fish very active in the top 2-4 feet of the water. Anglers that keep on the move have … Continue reading Week ending 28th January 2018 »

Fishing has been excellent this week with Paul Edwards catching a phenomenal 22 rainbows weighing up to 4lb, 1 brown and 1 golden trout weighing 5lb, with the majority of his fish falling to a static buzzer. As well as buzzers and damsels small orange and white lures are also fishing well.
Notes
This week fish have been caught on a variety of methods with snakes, blobs and buzzers being most successful. The heavy rain has been greatly welcomed and the lakes have received a good top up of water.

Buzzers fished static, just a couple of feet under the surface have been exceptionally successful this week with roving anglers certainly having the most success.

Buzzers fished just 18″ below the surface have accounted for many of these fish this week which is surprising considering the cold weather. For those looking to keep … Continue reading Week ending 17th December 2017 »

The last week has seen the temperature fluctuate from below freezing to actually quite warm, but even when freezing the sun has warmed anglers up, especially on the northern bank. Fishing has seen a mixture of fly patterns being successful. Floating fry off the boat saw two anglers land twenty trout in a day. A … Continue reading Week ending 10th December 2017 »

This week saw the success of the Viva. This fly looks nothing like the Vauxhall model it was named after, but its’ black and green pattern tempted many fish from under trees, or in the weed. Cats whiskers proved to be successful off the bank.
