Week ending 1st April 2018

Notes

Some great bags this week with several to high singles and low doubles. The fish have been going potty on the surface for hatching buzzers and have really locked onto the larger specimens starting to come off. Black and dark brown buzzers close to a size 12 have appeared, despite the rain the hatches have been going off throughout the day and arriving to open the shop in the morning the lake is already fizzing. Dry fly has taken plenty and foam Shipman’s have worked well along with black Klinkhammer’s, subsurface snakes took a great bag of 11 for regular Simon B with none weighing less than 4lb and the biggest hitting the magical 10lb mark! Robin spotted the yellow tagged fish cruising by so it is definitely on the move, the pot is nearing £1300 so get your self down for a go.

Next Saturday we have our friendly spring match and have a couple of places still available. 2 fish then C&R thereafter running from 10-3 and rotating every hour using the same format as the very successful fur and feather match before Christmas last year. If you fancy your chances and want to have a fun day out then call the shop on 0118 9303 860 to book in.

28 more orange tagged fish went in on Sunday catch one (£1 entry)  of these and you will win a free days fishing on Hayward’s lake C&R
