Another great week of fishing in which we had our spring friendly fishing match. 11 fish won on the day for regular angler Cliff Hoare who picked up a pair of Costa sunglasses for his efforts. A great friendly match saw a rod average on the day of 4.25 with fish falling to several methods including static buzzer, diawl bachs, damsels and mini lures such as snakes and blobs. The fish have stayed high in the water and floaters have been the line of choice some anglers had success on intermediates but as always keeping on the move has been key. There has been no real hot spots with fish being caught all over the lake. Regular angler Grant Beaumont spotted the large blue with the yellow tag but unfortunately for him another blue of 6lb 10oz intercepted his offering, a cracking fish that ended up being the biggest of the match and won him a free days fishing. Plenty surface activity with buzzers hatching off in large numbers throughout the day.
