Week ending 5th May 2019

Notes

The fish are currently up in the water and we are starting to see a few beginning to take dries but diawl bachs, cat‘s whiskers, buzzers and hot head damsels were the ‘go to‘ patterns for the week on Haywards Farm Lake with both bank and boat anglers catching fish up to 6lb. If you are looking for bigger fish then we have some very exciting doubles arriving later this week as part of our regular stocking.

Hobby Lake is in particularly fine form at present and the bookings last week all came away with limit bags of stunning fish. Fishing on Hobby is by private booking only, so give us a call on 0118 930 3860 if you would like to get on there and see just why it is so very special.

Finally for this week, a reminder that the fishery is closed over the weekend of 11th and 12th May for our  annual Sportfish Show. Come on down and take part in the biggest game fishing festival in the UK and watch the likes of Jeremy Wade and Simon Gawesworth fish off against one another on Haywards Farm Lake. All the leading manufacturers are present, there‘s a full line up of talks and demonstrations, great food and drink, special show deals – and entry, parking and all talks are totally FREE!
